Welcome to the personal website of Geoff Roest.
I am an atmospheric scientist working at Northern Arizona University. I periodically update this website to keep track of my professional research and my personal life - especially running!
My research currently focuses on the quantification of carbon dioxide from fossil fuel combustion (FFCO2) in the united states - both at the national and urban scales. I am especially interested in the intersection between highly-spatiotemporalized emissions data and sensible climate policy development.
Please see my advisor's website for details: http://gurneylab.nau.edu/
My expertise also extends into emissions of air quality pollutants, especially from the oil and gas sector.
Please feel free to get in touch with any inquires. Thanks and happy trails!
